Rally Cap (formerly "T Ball and Novice")

For 4, 5, 6, and 7 year-olds the Rally Cap Program is baseball's initiation program and is designed to enhance players' and coaches' first experience with the game. The program helps teach players the five FUNdamentals of baseball in a fun and safe environment. Players have the opportunity to perform different tasks in order to advance levels.

Teams usually play twice per week with each session lasting 75 minutes total time commitment.   The season usually starts the week after the school year ends and runs until Labour Day weekend.

During registration you have the option of selecting Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:15 - 6:30 or Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:15 - 6:30.

While 5U and 7U sessions occur at the same time, they will be on seperate fields.

9U (formerly "Rookie")

The 9U (Coach Pitch) baseball program is for 8 and 9 year-olds, and is a transitional level to Minor baseball. Players further develop their baseball skills, baseball IQ and sportsmanship in a safe and fun environment.  Games are approximately 5 innings in length and each inning is limited to 3 outs or 5 runs scored, whichever comes first.  In this division, players will be called out at the bases but cannot strikeout while batting.

Teams usually play twice per week with each session lasting 2 hours total time commitment.   Each session is comprised of a warm-up, practice drill and game.  The season usually starts the week after the school year ends and runs until Labour Day weekend.  A 9U jamboree is usually scheduled for mid-August each season.

In past seasons, 9U time slots have been scheduled Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 8:30. *

11U (Formerly "Mosquito")

The 11U division is for kids who are 10 and 11 years of age, and is the first division in which players begin to pitch the ball. A real baseball is used for the first time. In addition, a catcher is used and round robin playoffs follow the regular season. Players are not permitted to sit out for extended periods of time. All players are kept in the batting lineup and rotated by position.

Teams usually play twice per week with each session lasting 2 hours total time commitment.   The season usually starts the week after the school year ends and culminates with a playoff tournament at season's end (early September).  Score is kept.

In past seasons, 11U time slots have been scheduled on weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings.*

13U (formerly "Pee Wee")

The 13U division is for kids who are 12 and 13 years of age. 13U is the first division in which players begin to play by similar rules to those of the Major Leagues (with obvious Fair-Play modifications). Lead-offs and stealing bases is permitted, and pitchers use the same techniques that Major League pitchers do to hold runners on base. All players remain in the batting lineup and rotate equally in the field.

Teams usually play twice per week with each session lasting 2 hours total time commitment.   The season usually starts the week after the school year ends and culminates with a playoff tournament at season's end (early September).  Score is kept.

In recent years, PMB has participated with neighboring associations to have an interlocking house league schedule to boost interest and enjoyment of the game of baseball.  Normally, each house league team plays one home game and one away game per week.

In past seasons, 13U time slots have been scheduled on weekday evenings and Sunday afternoons and evenings.*

15U (formerly "Bantam")

The girls 12U teams participate in a metro league called "A League of Their Own" which is an all-girls league started by the St. John's Minor Baseball Association.  A regular season and mid-season tournament is followed by a round robin playoff tournament. Players are not permitted to sit out for extended periods of time. All players are kept in the batting lineup and rotated by position.
